Our drivers across the country work hard to make sure our customers are well looked after, often going above and beyond the call of duty. We spoke to one of our Wrexham drivers to find out more about the day to day life of an Oakhouse driver. Colin has worked at Oakhouse for over 2 years and delivers to Chester, Anglesey, Stoke, Oswestry and surrounding areas. What do you enjoy most about your job? I like being out and about, meeting all different types of people. I have done driving jobs before but at Oakhouse we take time to get to know our customers and have a chat.  It’s funny that my customers in Anglesey tell me I sound English and in Stoke they say I sound Welsh! Tell us about a typical day for you I get in early to load the van – sometimes it’s a 2 hour drive to my first delivery! It’s quite a long day but I get to see all my regulars and often new faces too. And it’s not just delivering food. Lots of our customers could do with a bit of extra support and some won’t see anyone else for days or even all week. I have been known to post a letter, take out the bins and even change a lightbulb! And what about when you’re not working? I love sport, especially football and have been watching the European Cup as much as I can. Come on Wales!!
