At Oakhouse Foods we are proud to help those in need, whether that’s right here in Britain or elsewhere in the world.

BUSH BELLS SCHOOL KENYA

Thanks to all of our customers we have been able to donate money on a monthly basis to Bush Bells School in Kenya. Our donation is paying for three teachers to work at the school.

The school aims to teach children good English and Maths and instil a love of their country and the environment in which they live. Conservation plays a very small part in a country where survival is the first priority. Without English, the children are unlikely to get a good job when they finish school.

The school has no government funding and is not linked to any charity. Items such as paper, pens and books are only available when a donation from the friends of the school is made. It is impossible to send these items as due to the corruption in Kenya they get stolen before the reach the school.

Oakhouse aims to carry on funding the teachers so that the school can secure its future and the children can stay in education until they are 16 years old.
