Oakhouse Foods in the News

Oakhouse Foods launches in Ireland

After 15 years of providing home delivered meals to thousands of customers throughout Britain, we are delighted to announce our recent launch in Ireland. We are now offering our home meals service throughout Dublin and beyond, allowing people in the city to benefit from our good value service.

Mark Byrne is running the branch and said, ”We’re very proud to be part of Oakhouse Foods and to be able to deliver the service to people in Ireland. We will initially be delivering throughout Dublin and County Kildare but we eventually hope to cover the whole country.

Groceries added to home meals service

Elderly people across Britain can now have basic groceries delivered along with their home meals, thanks to a groundbreaking new service from Oakhouse Foods.

Customers in need of essential groceries such as teabags or pet food can have these added to their order to be delivered with their regular frozen food order from Oakhouse Foods. There are almost 300 products available, and no extra charge for delivery.

In the face of declining public services for older people and reports about the levels of malnutrition in those over 65 years of age, the announcement promises to provide a much needed solution for those with mobility issues, or with elderly relatives.

Marketing Manager Hadi John said, “A packet of tea or a tin of beans can mean a lot when you have run out and can’t get to the shops. The aim of this service is to provide the basic shopping that customers can’t get out to buy for themselves. It makes sense as we are already delivering meals and desserts on a weekly basis and the customer’s regular Oakhouse Foods driver is a familiar face.”

“This extra touch has already proved to be very popular with all the customers and professionals we have spoken to. We anticipate it could help a lot of elderly people who currently struggle unnecessarily to the shops or pay someone to do it for them.”
