Launched in 1994, Oakhouse Foods is today one of the leading home delivery services for frozen meals & desserts in the UK. We provide a nationwide service through a network of regional distributors allowing us to provide our customers with a friendly local service.
Our huge selection of over 300 ready meals and desserts also means that we offer an unrivalled choice of nutritious, tasty food that is easy to prepare.
We work extensively with organisations involved in caring for the elderly and disabled, helping us to develop strong links with local communities and ensure we fully understand our clients' needs.
Our service
Our service is all about helping clients to retain their independence at home and ensuring that they have choice, convenience and value for money - a great alternative to meals on wheels.
We deliver on a weekly basis, bringing frozen meals and desserts to the elderly in their own homes or in sheltered accommodation on the same regular day each week, so they know when to expect us.
Clients can order over the phone, in person when our driver delivers their meals, or we can set up a regular weekly order which happens automatically. In many cases, orders are placed by a relative or carer, who we keep in close touch with.
If clients need a stay in hospital, we simply suspend the delivery service and restart it when they are back at home.
There's no commitment for our customers. We work on a week to week basis, so if they want a break from the service that's no problem.
About our food
We take the quality of our food very seriously, and are proud to say that every single dish in our range is completely free from artificial colours, hydrogenated fats and MSG. Our meals are all made in Britain to our own unique recipes, and we can provide detailed nutritional information for every dish in our range.
We are also proud to offer the widest range of freshly frozen meals and desserts in the country – with over 300 dishes to choose from there is something to suit all tastes.
As well as over 200 main meals our range includes 40 Mini Meals, all sized at around 240g, which are perfect for those with smaller appetites. We also have a substantial range of desserts to choose from including our award winning Cornish Dairy Clotted Cream Vanilla Ice Cream.
Simple to prepare
All of our meals can be heated in the oven or microwave within minutes. They are very easy to handle and our cooking guidelines are explained clearly on each product pack, usually in large text.
Special diets
All our dishes are suitable for regular diets, but we also cater for special diets including gluten free, diabetic, low fat, low calorie and vegetarian - these are clearly marked next to each product in our brochure. We also provide an extensive list of Free From lists summarising the dishes available for each particular requirement.
Nutritional information
We provide detailed nutritional information on our complete range including details on protein, fat, fibre, salt and even potassium content so you can ensure your clients are getting the nourishment they need.
No minimum order, no surprises
Unlike some services, clients can order as much or as little as they like - there's no minimum order value. And there are no delivery charges either - just a fully priced brochure with no hidden extras.
Clients pay on delivery by cash or cheque and payment can also be made by relatives or support groups where required. We also accept credit cards for remote payment.
Reliable, friendly and safe
We deliver in our specialist, fully liveried refrigerated vehicles and our delivery staff wear identity badges so clients can easily recognise us. Most clients will see the same friendly face each time, so it's a very positive experience. We'll also make sure food is put safely in the client's freezer if required.
Emergency food supplies
If a client is being discharged from hospital, just let us know and we'll do our very best to deliver an agreed order to them within 24 hours. In the case of hospitals, we can also provide meals direct so that the patient can return home with a small supply.

Carers can heat one of our delicious, nutritious meals for the client in minutes, with minimal effort, leaving more time for other essential tasks.
